The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) includes many road sign questions on its written permit test. To help you prepare for those questions, we have created a new practice test focused exclusively on traffic signs and their meanings. This new test covers all the major sign types from regulatory to informational to warning to guide to emergency. This test can help you gain the road sign knowledge you need to earn your permit and begin to learn to drive in “the Lone Star state.”

Test questions are formatted and graded like the questions on the real permit test. In this particular case, you will be receiving 25 multiple choice questions on road signs. You need to answer at least 20 of the questions correctly in order to pass. Each time you answer a question the instant feedback feature will let you know if the answer is right or wrong and it will give you an answer explanation.

You can take this practice test an unlimited number of times and each time you retake the questions will be randomly reordered. The test questions come from the Texas drivers handbook. If you are ready to improve your road sign knowledge, take this practice test now. There is no charge to take the test – no matter how many times you end up taking it. Good luck!
