Your chances of passing the written permit test at the Kansas DMV (Division of Motor Vehicles) are directly related to your knowledge in three key areas – rules of the road, driving regulations and road signs. To help you with that third area – road signs – we have created this practice test. The test includes questions on regulatory, guide, warning, emergency and informational signs.

What to Expect On The Practice Test

You should expect 25 challenging multiple choice questions covering common and not-so-common traffic signs and their meanings. As you progress through the test you will know immediately if you have answered a question correctly or incorrectly thanks to the test’s instant feedback feature. This feature will also give you a detailed explanation of each correct answer so that you know the reason behind that answer being the correct one. You need to answer at least 20 of the 25 questions correctly to pass. Answering 20 questions correctly is a score of 80 percent. To really ensure you earn your permit on your first attempt you may want to take this free test until you are able to score 100 percent.

If you fail to pass or if you just want to take the test again, this test can be taken an unlimited number of times. Plus, each time you retake the test the questions will be randomly reordered thanks to the test’s randomized question feature. Get started now.
